CASE STUDY 

Recently CPU enrolled one of their new Account Managers, Matthew Burton with Invenio Technology for in-depth training in Massachusetts.  Mr. Burton’s manager suggested he attend the CSSA I training class with the goal to become more familiar with SonicWALL products in order to gain expertise in the technology to aid him in the sales process.  Mr. Burton became more comfortable and confident with the SonicWALL Security products and solutions.

Invenio Technology recently contacted CPU a month after Mr. Burton attended the course to see if his goals had been accomplished and whether their commitment to training was successful.  Both Todd Barrett, Manager of Security & Networking Sales and Matthew Burton, Account Manager, were both open in their feedback.

Mr. Barrett recognizes that sending account managers to technical training is helpful in his organization.  First, the sales representative has first-hand knowledge and understanding of the various systems.  Secondly, it alleviates the reliance on engineers during the sales cycle.  Mr. Barrett recommends, “Having Account Managers who are deeply knowledgeable regarding the products and services loosens up the time of the Sales Engineer in the presales process thereby creating greater efficiencies.”  Additional cost savings are also recognized in post sales tech support. 

After attending the CSSA I technical training, Matthew Burton states, “I feel more comfortable and confident in my sales duties.”  Matthew is more capable of handling the lion’s share of the presale process without the need of an additional Sales Engineer.  “The technical training has definitely helped shorten the sales cycle from presentation to closing and that enabled me to reach my targeted goals. I definitely found the course a foundation for success.” 

Mr. Barrett advises, “Account Managers should attend the CSSA I technical training class to become educated and knowledgeable on the products and services.”  CPU endorses Invenio Technology and SonicWALL technical training.
